Our innovative processing techniques completely sequester the carbon and CO2 in our materials. For every pound of coal utilized in our products we permanently sequester 2.5 pounds of CO2.

It is out belief that for something to truly be sustainable it needs to be both environmentally sustainable and economically sustainable. Our products live at this intersection. We are developing materials that are good for the environment and can be recycled while at the same time creating long-term financial value for our business, distributors and end users.

Coal is an abundant resource and for so long has only been thought of as a fuel source. At X-MAT we are Re-Imagining coal and working diligently on value added applications that take advantage of it’s unique makeup and harness it’s full potential.

With the historical decrease in coal power plants, West Virginia has been hit especilly hard economically. We hope that our technology will not only support current coal mining jobs but will create new, high value manufacturing jobs in these distressed coal communities.
